Adobe Audition is a complete application for professional audio editing. With this tool you can work on all aspects of the audio, from the number of tracks, up to the instrumentation.

Adobe Audition provides an environment where you can work in the classic waveform format or use the innovative "spectral display", which works based on frequency and is incredibly helpful in solving common problems such as undesired noise in recordings.

This application also incorporates a multitude of effects and filters, to give the edited audio a truly professional feel. In addition, Adobe Audition enables the user to work with sound of up to 5.1 channels, and to add surround sound.

The mixer is one of the strengths of the application. It can be used to modify various aspects of the audio, such as increasing the overall volume, fixing errors, and equalizing the bands to your taste.

Finally, it is important to note that Adobe Audition is an excellent complement to the other applications in the Adobe package (like Premiere Pro).
