OpenTTD is a simulation game where you’ll be in charge of driving a transportation company of passengers and products and make it prosper. To do this, you’ll have to make the right decisions according to the random map on which you play.

More experienced players will find that OpenTTD is quite similar to the popular Transport Tycoon Deluxe, a game that has the same premise. Indeed, the latter game served as the basis to develop OpenTTD. The big difference is that this title includes many more features.

You will have to build roads, highways, railways, water routes, tunnels and everything needed for the different transports available. You’ll also have to study the terrain to get the most out of it.

Of course, not everything is so simple. You'll need to take different variables into account, from purely economic issues to take political decisions. You’ll act according to the needs of each case, which might even lead you to bribe some officials.

While the OpenTTD graphics engine is quite poor, the gameplay and game possibilities of this title are manifold, a feature that not only complicates but also makes it much more attractive.
