Red Eclipse is a first-person shooter in which you must engage in bloody battles against a large number of enemies on a battlefield. With these characteristics, this title is reminiscent of Unreal Tournament.
Also, the design of each level, the movements and the game mechanics are all similar to Unreal Tournament. But it also has some additional features which improve it, such as a new impulse system and a more realistic impact for projectiles.
As for the game itself, Red Eclipse lets you play alone or with other users through four of the most classic modes of the genre: Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, Teamplay and Time Trial. In each of them you’ll use short and long-range weapons as well as the classic grenades and knives.
Although it doesn’t offer anything truly revolutionary, Red Eclipse is a complete and successful free alternative that will certainly give you the dose of action you need.
