Bible Illustrator 3.0 problems w/ Vista

I am a long-time user of Parson's Techonology Bible Illustrator v. 3.0 and have recently purchased a laptop with Vista as the OS. I have always used an earlier version of Windows, but now it will not even let me load it. I have tried the Compatibility Mode, but to no avail. Can anyone give me a suggestion as to what to try next? Thanks!
